  16.         Reality Software is a small company whose husband and 
  17. wife team is devoted to the publication of two product lines.
  18.  
  19.        We publish quality E-Books for DOS and Windows in 
  20. ancient/medieval history and the history of religion. These 
  21. books represent original, scholarly research and are designed 
  22. for thinking adults. They are an attempt at original synthesis 
  23. from the literature and some of the writing is at journal level. 
  24. They are definitely not school-oriented software nor New Age fluff.

  26.       Reality Software also publishes a large series of Windows 
  27. image collections/media albums and screen savers that feature a) 
  28. historical transportation photography and b) original 
  29. computer art whose themes are mythic and visionary. 
  30. Each image is royalty free in the registered versions of 
  31. this software.

  33.        All Windows E-Books come with Replica, an application 
  34. independent viewing system that bypasses the need for a word 
  35. processor. Full instructions are included and the software is 
  36. very user friendly.

  47.         Ten publications in our series of Windows media
  48. albums and screen savers featuring archival transportation 
  49. photography have been released. Three volumes feature images 
  50. scanned from our private collection of 19th century steam 
  51. locomotives. The other publications feature images of electric 
  52. locomotives, tall ships, classic sail boats, classic battleships, 
  53. early bicycles and early trolleys. All images are scanned from our 
  54. personal collection of rare photographs. The photos are quite rare 
  55. and in many cases are single prints made by early photographers 
  56. and collectors. With a handful of exceptions, none have ever been 
  57. published before in any medium and then only many decades ago 
  58. at very low resolution. Each photo has been meticulously restored 
  59. to repair negative and print damages while maintaining the historical 
  60. integrity of the image. Each graphic image in these publications is 
  61. 24 bit and royalty free to registered users. Whatever historical 
  62. data we can reliably ascertain about each photo is included as a 
  63. text file.

  65.         Four volumes in our Windows screen saver series of original 
  66. visionary art have been released. 1) Fifteen original computer 
  67. paintings explore the theme of Mythic Bears. 2) Fifteen original 
  68. computer paintings explore the Epiphanies of the Neolithic 
  69. Goddess.  3) Fifteen original computer paintings developed with 
  70. fractals express images of Cosmic Creation. 4) Fifteen original 
  71. computer paintings explore relationships with Sacred Animals.       
  72. The shareware versions of each screen saver contain three
  73. images, the registered versions fifteen. There is no duplication 
  74. among the collections. Each graphics file in v1.2 of these 
  75. publications is 24 bit, 16 million color, and royalty free to 
  76. registered users. At a cost of $1 or less per image, such a license 
  77. is a bargain. Stock photography agencies typically charge $100 or 
  78. more per image for commercial licenses.

  80.          Of immediate concern to the graphics design and multimedia 
  81. industries, is a major expansion of Now Corbis which is owned by 
  82. Microsoft. Now Corbis holds an enormous library of stock photos with 
  83. plans to triple its inventory in the near future. Corbis intends to 
  84. sell one time licenses for each image and employs five intellectual
  85. property lawyers to write contracts with clients. I quote Mark Daniel, 
  86. manager of sales. "We have not been selling an image for less than 
  87. $100, and we also have sold an image up to $5,000. Normally, they 
  88. [one-time reproduction licenses] are $200 to $400 an image." In October 
  89. 1995, Now Corbis purchased the Bettman Archive, a well known library
  90. of more than 16 million digitized images in the Fine Arts. Other 
  91. agreements have since followed including license to reproduce in 
  92. digital media the photographs of Ansel Adams.

  94.        Realize, that if you are a graphics designer or multimedia 
  95. developer, this is the playing field now and for the foreseeable 
  96. future. While Reality Software can only develop image collections 
  97. built around specialized themes, if you can use our products, we 
  98. offer the most inexpensive license in the industry: $1 per image for 
  99. a lifetime royalty free license. And you will not have to talk to a 
  100. lawyer. We wish to share our knowledge and creativity with you at 
  101. the lowest cost possible.

  105. often produce a nearly invisible repair of the problems caused by 
  106. such damages as water or ink stains, and rips or tears in prints or 
  107. negatives. We can also restore an appropriate contrast level and 
  108. resolution to seriously faded images. If the image does not exist 
  109. as computer media, we will scan it for you before beginning

  115. and photographers and offer two templates. You can evaluate either
